Tito Ortiz has signed on as a broadcaster for Affliction's "Day of Reckoning." After much speculation, from myself included that Ortiz was going to announce a fight deal, he says he is going to be a color commentator. Wait, it gets better.
After the press conference Tito told MMAjunkie.com that he will not be paid for his broadcasting work. He went on to explain:
"As far as me fighting for Affliction, at this point I'm going to fulfill my obligations with ... (the) UFC, and that'll be until June 2009," said Ortiz, who later confirmed the company has the right to first refusal until that date. "But until then, I'm going to work on my commentating. Color commentating is something I've always wanted to do."
